UFC 303 (on June 29, 2024) was a highly anticipated PPV card scheduled in Las Vegas, Nevada headlined by a rematch between champion Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka. The Brazilian had previously knocked out Prochazka at UFC 295 for the vacant light heavyweight belt. Brian Ortega vs Diego Lopes was also a match that many fans were look forwards to watching however Ortega pulled out at the last minute due to weight cutting issues. Amazingly, Dan Ige stepped in on several hours notice to fight Lopes. This card also featured a matchup between Ian Garry and Michael “Venom” Page.Update: The champion Pereira once again showed why he is one of the most feared men on the planet knocking out Prochazka early in the first round to retain his title. Ige put in a great effort against the up and coming Lopes but ultimately Lopes took the unanimous decision.
